I'm sorry to leave you a random comment in your journal but sending private messages on LJ doesn't seem to be working at the moment for some reason.

I had contacted deliciouspear about spinning some poodle wool for me and she referred me to you, saying that you were much faster and better. What I have is clean, 3 inch clippings of poodle hair. Not rovings, just clippings and I was wondering if you'd had any experience with it or if you'd be willing to try spinning it. It's soft and fine and I have several ounces though I haven't weighed it to find out how much is there.

Anyway, I just wanted to try knitting with poodle hair since it doesn't stink and isn't oily. It felts up nicely in my washing machine every time I wash his bed so I thought it might be a fun experiment but I don't know how to spin myself.

Hi. No problem. :)

I haven't spun with poodle hair before but I'd be willing to try it. What weight final yarn are you looking for? I have some hand cards but I've not really used them either. I know the theory and I've played with them once or twice but that's it. Again, I'd be willing to try, though. :) I am a little booked right now but would have time in July if that would work for you. If you're interested in discussing it more, you can email me at knitsnbits@gmail.com .

Susan.
