I made the decision last week to get a cat. Ah yes, a fuzzy little kitten. I think there's a lot of be said for taking appropriate precautions when pet/baby proofing a home. However, I think you can also go wrong trying to be too antiseptic. I prefer a more organic approach myself.

Yeah, I'm trying not to obsess too much. I've given up reading kitten material for the time being. I'm sure in the long run the type of cat litter I use won't make a huge difference, haha. I just want a nice, well behaved cat, and hopefully I won't fuck it up too much in the process.

awww...coming from someone who has never had a pet bigger than a hamster i'm really excited for you :) and i'm sure the kitten is just going to love you :)
