I'm Back

Nov 13, 2006 22:03

Boy, it's been awhile. I've had a pretty busy schedule since I last wrote... not that I'm complaining or anything. This semester has been incredibly challenging, but ultimately I think it'll be rewarding. I'm pre-registering for next semester tomorrow, and I'm actually a little sad that I only have a couple more semesters until graduation. I ( Read more... )

If you wouldn't mind, I would absolutely love to read your memoir. Bridget has told me the story a couple times but never really in depth. I too love writing and although it's not my major, I love to read what other people write, I love to write my own stuff, and I really appreciate anything creative. I'm so excited too to hear about your editing position! And your bank position too! I'm glad to see that everything is going so well. If you want my email or whatever, let me know. I hope to see you soon!!!

I wouldn't mind at all! What email do you want me to send it to?

I'd really like to read your memoir. There's a couple of kids in one of my classes who are in your class and they talk about the class all the time, and I heard a lot of good things about your story(even though I know you're a fantastic writer anyway).

My e-mail is amaynard@bridgew.edu

Thank you :-) and I'm glad you're having a good semester. Walker's writing classes are hard to get through and they're a lot of work, but they really do pay off.

Awww, thanks! I'll send it in a little while. I've been working on it since the workshop, so it's a little bit different than the version that was workshopped. Better, hopefully.

I love everyone in my memoir class, they're all awesome people.

This is totally off the subject, but I know you did the Oxford program last year and I was just wondering what you thought of it. I was thinking about applying-- I heard that it's a great experience, but I thought I'd get your thoughts before I went ahead with it.

If you can do the Bridgewater at Oxford program, you really, really should. It is the most incredible experience. The classes werer wonderful, the area is absolutely beautiful, the scheduled trips are a lot of fun(we saw a play at the globe theater. it was pretty cool). If you want more information(or more details) about anything, I'm sure we can find a tine during the week to catch up and sit down and chat.

But basically, you should really go. It's awesome.

Yay, I'm definitely going to apply! We definitely have to talk-- I'll have a lot questions, I'm sure.

So nice to hear from you again. Congratulations on your seminar success and being asked onto the staff of the school magazine. A friend of mine is a tormented writer. Well... actually he's cop now. But he got his BA in English and still writes a lot (sometimes). He says writing is always the most emotionally draining thing he has ever done ( ... )

Haha, after reading the comment you left the other day my other post, I was inspired to write. I hope you've been well too.

I think I'll be delving into the more challenging material over the next couple semesters-- I'm taking statistics for psych next semester, and research methods and biopsych will follow, and I've heard those courses are brutal. I think I'll be ok, but I'm definitely not looking forward to them.

My email is sullihhi@bc.edu. Thanks so much!

PS...My friend Jen Corey did Vagina Monologues last year and absolutely loved it. She might (really good chance) be doing it again this year, so look out for her!

Oh, I know who you're talking about! She got another monologue this year too. She seems really nice. I'm sure I'll be seeing her :)
