A second entry in the same week? Unbelievable! I have to type this fast because I'm at work, so if there are any mistakes, that's why ( Read more... )

Your memoir about Tippy was incredible. I'm speechless. I don't even know what to say about it. It was fantastic.

Also, if your intro to African American lit class is taught by Lois Poule, beware. She is not a good teacher and her tests and papers are VERY hard.

Thank you so much-- I worked really hard on it. It needs just a little more work, but I'm submitting it to The Bridge next week. It'd be great if it got published.

I actually have Poule this semester. Her papers are really difficult, but she totally loves me for some reason, so I'm doing well. The class just fit in my schedule, and I figured that if I could deal with the class this semester, then the next one should be okay too. Now I'm thinking that I might find another course, just because I'm not sure if I can handle writing another paper searching for common threads and juxtapositions in novels that really don't have many parallels. Are you taking any interesting classes next semester, or are you done?

Next semester I'm taking a lit seminar(Jane Eyre) and a writing course, probably nothing really interesting that you'd wanna take. Then after that, i have one more semester, and I'm done, so I'm pretty excited for that.

I finally got around to reading your memoir about Tippy yesterday. It's hard to find the words to say and I guess "Wow!" pretty much sums it up. You are a fantastic writer Tara and you have a real knack for giving feeling to the words. I found my eyes watering up several times as I read it. Prior to this I thought I knew how much Tippy meant to you and how devasted you were by his loss. I didn't, and I guess no one ever will... but this brings it a little closer to the heart.
*hugs*
