Hi guys, I think I've been taking LJ too seriously and don't see it as a random fun place anymore. I don't think I'll be using twitter much anymore, I'm sick of it. So lets try this blogging thing again..
Kayla and I had a very weird night when we went to see Psyclon Nine and Imperative Reaction in a seedy part of Brooklyn.
We drove in based on her brother's insight, it was comforting knowing we were parked right outside the venue LOL. I got Joe Letz some unicorns and penis whistles and that made him very happy, as well as me at seeing his silly face light up with glee XD. So much was going on it's hard to organize my thoughts, the doors opened 2 hours late and it started raining during the last hour or so and this cute European man let us stand under his umbrella and as we chatted we found out that we had gone to a shit load of the same shows, that he was a wrestling fan, and he would be at a lot of the shows in the future that we were planning on going to. Hope we can spot him again XD.
Industrial kids are really fucking cool by the way, waiting on line they were all talking about shows they've been to and it was a great mix of metal and other weird shit, I love how chill they are with genre hoping where as metalheads tend to be, uh, dicks. =P
Inside the venue was so interesting that I instantly forgot about the shittyness they just put us through by making us wait outside. I'm not in the mood to get into massive detail but industrial kids are so damn cute dancing around to DJ's in between sets. Imperative Reaction was really fun, and also pretty hysterical, I didn't know the lyrics to all the songs, but the songs I did know the lyrics to I was laughing too much to sing along LOL. No offense guise. I also hadn't noticed that this weird goth man that has been following me on twitter for months is actually their keyboardist. ROFL whoops.
A lot of people had fucked off before Psyclon Nine came on, which was weird because to me, and I think it should be to everyone, they put on a much better show and their music has far more atmosphere so it was really trippy to be seeing a band that good in a place that empty. The crowd energy didn't suck, there just wasn't enough people to generate the energy I feel this band deserves. BUT I had a blast dancing around and pushing the cuties moshing anyway. Nero's mic kept cutting out or being too quiet and he was getting pretty pissed off which also distracted me considerably.
They played some fantastic shit, like Clinik, Parasitic, Heartworm, We The Fallen, Better Than Suicide, etc etc. Suicide Note Lullaby was adorable but I feel like very few people noticed that they were playing a really emotional cute song =[
They got off stage exactly at 2, which was the original time they were supposed to get off, so no encore and the other bands that opened [Panic Lift and Vicious Alliance] had to cut their sets short but the place wasn't closing until 5 am. I don't get it. I wanted more time with them =[
Anyway, we chatted with Joe for a bit about his crazy night after the first time we met and also got some interesting scoop on Rammstein and Combichrist. Teehee. We checked out the creepy basement where about...7 people tops were hanging around, about 3 people dancing. Strange...and creepy. Then back upstairs, looked at merch but since there was no cute girl shirts we didn't get anything. Calling it a night by not dancing around with everyone we ended up at a diner to have awesome onion rings, mozzarella sticks and quesadillas [why doesn't firefox know what a quesadilla is??]. These guys came in and stopped to chat with us freaky chicks about our freaky piercings and love of Satan and other weird shit. Only one of the three hung around to ask us lots of questions and he said he might be at the Dethklok show in October after we told him all about how that show is actually made. LOL. He also got all hot and flustered when we were talking about mosh pits and how we like to push men around. LOL, nice.
And uhhh, this street we hung around in for 3 hours with a bunch of freaks
This is us before getting soaked
Finally inside and all wet, sexy.
pictures thanks to Kayla, of course. I can't wait to have the one Joe took of me, him and our little friends.
