Well, they're still more civil than the Tea Partier/Liberal wars

So, yeah, I know I shouldn't have said anything, especially not at 3 in the morning. But I dislike being told that people aren't allowed to express their disagreement toward their series. Hino EXPECTS people to fight over her triangle; it's a gimmick. It's why creators invent the triangles. They like to people on their toes guessing who will end up ( Read more... )

I am a torn fan because my opinions are set by Zero, him being my favorite character. I mostly just want to see him happy, which I realize will probably never happen. But yeah, that's the main reason I got into the Zero/Yuuki pairing in the first place. Well that and I really liked how they were partners in the beginning. I'm a sucker for partners. Now, I'm undecided.

Still, I hate when people attack someone else's pairings because everyone has their own interpretation and until the creator says so themselves, nobody is wrong. And even then, it's still not set in stone. So I actually don't mind when Kaname/Yuuki fans tell me why the pairing works for them. It helps in RPing. That's why I think I should be able to say what I don't get about the pairing so they can explain their interpretation. But I'm still super against saying one pairing is better than the other because "Kaname is too obsessive" or "Zero is too cold." I'd love to see more actual discussion of both sides brought to play rather than the undecipherable love/hate fests.

I just have to say that I love Zero and Aidou interactions beyond words, and I love how Aidou is one of the few vampires that Zero can actually tolerate and almoooooooooooost respects, as seen in their conversation long long again. He's much more lenient around him than any other vampire. I still crack up at Aidou making him cook for him. Then again, I just love any Aidou scenes because he's very plot-focused and he's just so damn smart. I have been pining for an Aidou in my game forever!

I always laugh reading the first volume where Aidou bites Yuuki and Zero shoots him.

It seems so out of character now.

I adore them too, they always seem to draw together to compare notes and then run off their separate ways to do their thing. I love it. He catches everything and I'm really torn with hoping Aidou just gets everything WRONG and assumes that Zero really did threaten Yuuki and refused to hand over his blood and try to chide him for being a huge hypocrite. Because from previous chapters you know he gets the fact that Yuuki isn't sated entirely by Kaname and would instantly realize that had to do with Zero.

The other part of me, the sane one that likes to plot long term, knows that should come later. He's had enough to think about without adding more. But then Hino did reveal the ancestor a lot sooner than I expected.

I'm tempted to canon update just so Zero always has someone to talk to...so I know your pain. My list of 'wants' for VK is quite large. Starting with Kaien and Ichiru.

While I enjoyed reading your take on Zero's "beast," I'd like to clarify that beast is my own classification for one's carnal side, usually pertaining to the supernatural. Aside from RPing Zero, I also write novel about shapeshifters and demons, where the nature of human and beast revolves around a character's decision to suppress that carnal side or to embrace it. In general vampire writing, I find that people nowadays prefer focusing on the sensuality of the creature or just make them wicked. Me, I like vampires because they can be VICIOUS. So my favorite explorations of vampire characters focus on the need for blood, the resistance of that need and the ravenous feeding itself. Hence, much of my focus on Zero concentrates on the nature of vampirism. I love the way vampires blur the line between man and beast, with their very basic nature of drinking human blood and the fervor of their emotions. You see this most often with Kaname and how he seeks out Ruka when he cannot have Yuuki, as well as when he feeds on Yuuki herself. Same ( ... )

The 'Twilight' vampire. D= Yes, I love playing with the loss of control when it comes to his hunger, especially since Zero fights it so hard and for as long as he can. It's difficult though sometimes when you don't know the 'rules' for each individual character. For instance, how long can a normal vampire go without feeding? A day? A week? Several weeks? What's the difference between actually drinking blood from someone and the blood tablets? What would happen if he actually drank from Yuuki now? Would he be sated for a time or not? How long ( ... )

Definitely murder on the psyche. But then I also can't help but feel even worse for poor Yuuki in that situation. Biting Zero would be the "worst crime ever" in her opinion, I think. That's even before her promise to Kaname enters the picture. She freaked out when Shizuka bit him, not wanting him ever be bitten again. She was the one that cleaned up all the blood from the bite that changed him and it traumatized her pretty bad as well. I think if she had bitten him, she wouldn't have argued if he had wanted her life in return. She would have felt she deserved it ( ... )

I like to look around from time to time. I *think* I've found all the active Zero players at least. I don't follow threads too much but I do like going through a lot of your OOC stuff in your journal. Names...icons...personal interpretations. I always like to go through and see what people have or what sort of setting they have them in ( ... )

Mwaha! I love that panel of Ichiru clinging to Zero in your icon.

...I have nothing else of significance to contribute.

Ichiru needs more love. And your icon is pretty adorable as well. Are those...pokeballs they are holding? It's like morphing mine and my nine year old's favorite fandoms into one.

And you're her Kaname, aren't you? Gosh...how do you two actually get them to interact in game? Especially being the only ones there. My Zero wants absolutely nothing to do with either Kuran unless he feels it's necessary. Which isn't often. It's normally on his own terms though, unless Yuuki steps over that line and attempts to contact him. That usually has the opposite effect though, it just makes him reinforce those walls.

A wild RPer appears!

It's really hard to get them to interact most (all) of the time. For the moment, the workaround is mostly having them in the same event-type post (for example, there was a recent event where everyone could get pokemon, hence the icon... the intention was to have battles). Otherwise, as you can imagine, Kaname and Zero don't have much reason to speak to each other. On the other hand, some of the threads have been really interesting to work through as there aren't castmates that could play the peacemaker between them when things do flare up for one reason or another.
