Am intrigued by the pretty and the crazy and the well-developed characters. I was "meh" about the title and first episode summary but if you say it's comparable to Geass that is VERY RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS. Noted for future watching...

Wait wait, I cannot say the anime is comparable. XD Though possibly with R2 since it also suffered from pacing issues. But the overall (characters/plot) struck me in my Geass happy place. That's probably the best way I can describe it.

lol that's kind of what I meant, in terms of love meter and substance to sink teeth into. XD Does it inspire the same level of (obsessive character) analysis? Because that is pretty much an instant "SOLD!"

Oh definitely, Sion is super good for that. But Ryner is also very intriguing as well. He wins super points because unlike almost every other anime character in existence, HE ACTUALLY FIGURES THINGS OUT. He almost never needs to be told. And of course the trolls are all really fascinating, especially Lucile.

I'd also add:

8. Plot only really picks up after episode 16. A weird trend in anime these days.

9. After you finish the anime GO READ THE NOVELS ALREADY. They are ongoing and only partially translated, but the characters are nice and detailed in their motivations, and a lot of the plot makes more sense.

[Edit: Oh, and I thought it would be cool to add this awesome trailer to your pimping post. A bit spoilerish, but it's so much better at portraying the story than other official stuff!]
