The Final Countdown
Today was the last day at my (now ex)full time job. It was such a great relief to be out of there, it put me in the best mood. That place was really wearing down on me, the stagnation of my position, the lack of future growth, the repetitiveness. I am definitely very happy to be done with the place. Overslept my alarm this morning, by a good hour and twenty minutes. I guess the lack of sleep my nerves have caused me is finally catching up with me. Of course it had to happen on a day that I'm leaving early ANYWAY, so now Ill have to use even more PTO than I'd wanted.. subtracting from that final paycheck next week, dangit. I've been watching the BBC Series "Primeval" on Netflix lately. In the episode I watched last night the antagonist in the series was attempting to kill "first man" so that the human species never existed. Some people say that dreams are just your creative brain taking over as you sleep and having lala-fantasy-whatever going on. Other say that your dreams are the way your subconscious works out the problems that you have during your "waking life". Change, a hopeful thing for once
Lots of change going on in my world right now. Last month I was told at my part time job that I was being laid off and my last day was 5/14 (yesterday).
