I kinda know what you mean. My school had cliques and such, but they weren't really defined. My school had such a diverse population and everyone had at least one thing in common with each other. Another thing I've noticed from my experience, is that by the time you reach your senior year, everyone knows you and you know everybody else. People learn to respect each other because these are the people they grew up with. I don't know if anyone has the same view as I do, but that's just how it was for me. It could be different for someone else.
