I'm inviting him to my birthday party. Is that less expensive? Friendly enough?

okay... i completely fail to comprehend how this was some sort of failure on your part. it sounds like it would have been fun, but if it's not within the realm of financial possibility for you then they should understand that with no hard feelings... right? i'm sure they're very nice.

don't be so tough on yourself. it's just not possible to take every chance, even though it can feel tenuous and really, really important at the beginning of a relationship.

wuv you.

Eh, it wasn't a complete failure, it's just another example of how Genay fails at making new friends. And it's not like Cory was really horribly upset that I wasn't able to go with him, but it was more of a "come on, that's just not rock and roll" I think more than anything for me right now it's just a comment on the stupidity of me not being able to do something so minisucle as to come up with $40 to go to a concert.

I know I don't have to take every chance, but I just don't know when the next chance is going to come up.
