Battler is weird. He supposedly has this SUPER HUGE RESISTANCE to magic. That makes him impenetrable to things like, say, bunny girls firing arrows that are supposedly said to never miss at him. See, this might work with his current status, with furniture, at his canonpoint! But it's a whole new world out there ( Read more... )

...after the soulless-god battleship kaiju formed from negative energy pulled out of people and the apocalypse nearly being called, Four Horsemen and all, because of insects eating people's luck causing a massive disaster of misfortune, it's really not that far-fetched for Battler's resistances to work against Raidou's demons. His sword/gun are mundane, but the demons? Pfff.

Actually it's up to you - in normal game setting, normal people/people that aren't heavily involved in magic and dealing with the occult can't even -see- the demons. For the purposes of E_V, they're visible, but if you want, Battler's resistance could go as far as "...what are you talking to?" and them basically not existing to Battler besides aftermath of things like rearranging objects or Raiho freezing the hallway to make a slip-and-slide that would be environmental/potentially Explained Away.

I THINK... YOU'RE FAMILIAR WITH DRR right Owl right... well anyway!! Battler's an ass so he'll probably piss off Shizuo if they ever run into each other etc and that could lead to Shizuo flipping his shit-- so it's totally up to you what can go down wrt: that but he's very human and very normal and there's nothing magical at all so you can't refuse this monster flying at you or maybe that bicycle or that nice man in a wheelchair etc.

Gintoki is Gintoki, Hadesu probably won't be using his disease demon for anything and he wouldn't attack others anyway so that doesn't count, and Kiri's Flare isn't a visible ability anyway, but that's also not magical. PERMISSIONS COMPLETE.

This is sort of tricksy. Trauma's ability is magic based in that he's a half-demon. He doesn't do it as if working magic, is the weird thing - it's handled in canon more like a mutation. Limited telepathy + limited shape-changing = turning into your worst fear. Terry only recently even found out that it was based in magic/his heritage, and so it isn't a connection he makes or would talk about, so it's unlikely Battler would KNOW it was magic.

So...basically, this could go either way, and I'm generally okay with either way working? Haaa...
