Rejection #4 is not really a surprise.

Rejection #4 has arrived in the mail! It's Cornell, which surprises me absolutely not at all. I knew they'd reject me when I applied, and reject me they did! Three more rejections and I'll be done with this sorry experiment, at which point I'm moving down to Texas to become a high school teacher for a couple of years. I wish my mom would get tired of my computer problems and buy me one...

Good luck with the remaining applications! At least you have applied to schools (and seven of them at that!). I am still dawdling on sending out my one application.

I still live at home, which is probably why my mother is more inclined to buy me things. I'm well aware it makes me pathetic, but I don't really have very many other options at the moment.

Thanks for the luck--not that I expect it'll do me any good. Applying to more schools simply means I get more rejections. I guess the economy is bad enough that a lot of schools are making lots of cuts, which means it's a lot harder to do. A slight consolation, I guess.
