The guy that reviewed that is one of the few whose opinion I trust, and when it comes to JRPG's, he's pretty much the honcho. Actually, RPG's in general.

From his review, I determined it's not even a rental, though the demo didn't have much of my interest to begin with honestly. I think what really turned me away from that demo was the lack of variety in the enemies, which evidently continues throughout. Seriously, a dungeon of just two enemy types?

I hear Blue Dragon got viciously panned, but the ironic thing about it is that it is obviously a game aimed at children, not adults, and that is what really crippled it in the review department. People were expecting Crono Trigger and they got Power Rangers.

Well, I'm still holding out hope for Lost Odyssey.

Well, a lot of people weren't actually judging it based on the appearance, oddly enough. I guess, since the vast majority of non-Pokemon-ripoff RPG's are teen or up, it was just a shock.

I like it. Wouldn't buy it, but then again, I'm technically too old for it.

They kept advertising Blue Dragon as being "from the people who brought you Chrono Trigger", so why would people expect anything else? What a let-down
