Transformers back story

This back story for the Transformers has been floating around in my head for a long time. Have a read and tell me what you think.

Siebertron was originally one of seven moons orbiting the planet Juvinar in the Virbian system. This moon was unique in that it consisted entirely of a rare metal which, when exposed to sunlight, generated a practically limitless energy source which could be easily harnessed. The Nulians, the inhabitants of Junivar, utilized this moon as the primary base for their primary source of income - mechanical industry. All necessary labor was performed by advanced androids of greatly varying sizes which were designed in the image of the humanoid Nulians. These androids were equipped with AI that allowed them to perform complex tasks and even problem solve without the intervention of an operator. All computerized equipment on Sibertron, including the androids were regulated by a central computer in the moon's core known as Vector Sigma, created by Junivar's greatest cybernetic engineer, Primus.

Since almost all necessary labor was performed by the androids of Siebertron, the Nulians were free to spend their lives in pursuit of any interest that struck their fancy. They became some of the universe's greatest painters, poets and architects. Their works of art, what is left of it that is, is still the most sought-after in the entire universe.

Unfortunately, one area in which the Nulians were inept was that of self-defense and war. This is why, when the Quintessons, fueled by their greed to harness the energy of Siebertron, invaded, the Nulians were easily defeated.

Primus was one of the last of the Nulians to fall before the Quintessons fire power. Knowing that his own life could not be spared, he directed his concerns toward the wrack that the Quintessons could bring upon the universe by harnessing the energy of Siebertron. His last will and testament was a program which he executed on Vector Sigma which accomplished 4 things. First, he ensured that almost all of the energy-producing properties of Siebertron was immediately used up, leaving only a tiny fraction near the core of the mooon. Second, since Primus knew that the androids of Siebertron could easily be compromised and re-purposed as machines of war, he knew they would need to be dealt with. Not having the heart to have them self-destruct, he instead gave the androids the ability to alter their appearance so that they could blend in with their surroundings. This way they would hopefully go unnoticed by the Quintessons. Thirdly, all mechanical equipment, including the androids were placed in a near-permanently catatonic state so that they could not be leveraged by the Quintessons. The fourth thing was the most amazing. Primus implemented his very consciousness in a complex AI program with which he replaced the core Operating System of Vector Sigma. The super computer now had a synthetic understanding of morals and ethics. It had the ability to known right from wrong and choose accordingly. It had the free will of a true living being. Vector Sigma's first act of free will was to take on the identity of it's creator. It officially changed its name to "Primus".

The Quintessons eventually killed off the Nulians and, in doing so, reduced the planet Junivar to a smoldering rock. They set up a base on the planet Siebertron intending to immediately begin their quest to rule the universe. Unfortunately for them, they found the energy producing element of the moon to be a shadow of its former self. Even the pre-existing mechanics did not function. The Quintessons persisted however, and after several decades, were finally able to tap into Cyberton's remaining energy. Also, they eventually discovered the existence of the androids despite their being camouflaged and deactivated. Although they failed to reactivate the existing androids, they were instead able to study them, and use them as a basis to create their own weaponized androids which they called "Destrons".

Primus eventually became aware of the Quintessons' accomplishments. The simplest solution would have been to take control of the Destrons in order to kill the Quintessons. Primus, however, decided that killing and enslaving, even in pursuit of the greater good, was wrong. Instead, like its creator had done for it, Primus equipped the Destrons with conciousnesses of their own and the ability for free will. It also created a new android of its own. This new android was designed to be a charismatic leader and a weapon more powerful than all others. Primus dubbed this new android "Megatron". Megatron promptly rallied the Destrons to vanquish the Quintessons. Those who survived blasted off into space, doomed to roam the galaxy for eternity.

Unfortunately, granting Megatron free will turned out to be just as much a curse as it was a blessing. After the scouring of Siebertron, the Destrons were left to struggle with a crippling energy crisis. The tiny amount of energy left in the moon's core was scarcely enough to sustain them for few more years. Given this, Megatron chose to take action. Although created by Primus, his origins was rooted in Quintesson construction. The lust for power and expansionism was passed on to him. Megatron shook his fist at Primus, loathing his father's righteousness despite his and his people's suffering. He was able to convince the Destrons to join him in a campaign to take energy from civilizations on other planets by any means necessary. He re-named his people the "Decepticons" as a snub to his and their creators.

Primus hated what the Decepticons had chose to do, but he could sooner destroy himself than destroy Megatron, his own creation. In a way, he "loved" Megatron as the original Primus had "loved" Vector Sigma. Instead, Primus chose to reactivate the original cyborgs to thwart the Decepticons. He granted these cyborgs free-will as well, however, this time, he also granted them the ability to feel compassion and caring. They were programmed with the same morals and ethics as himself; they would not resort to killing or enslaving for any reason. He dubbed these repurposed cyborgs "Cybertrons", their namesake a clear homage to their home world. In order to counter balance Megatron, the Cybertrons were also given a powerful figure, Alpha Trion, who would not only lead them in their campaign to thwart the Decepticons, but act as a conflict resolver, a spiritual leader, and an ethical role-model.

Thus the great war began.

I'll probably revise this and add more details later.
