Good to see you posting on a regular basis again.

I'll probably post my own thoughts on this film when I get around to seeing it... within the week I hope.

I saw Oliver Stone's W. I was actually impressed. I hate to say it, but it is probably more true than a great many people want to admit. It isn't likely we'll ever know for certain how things truly were in the White House. Was Cheney really the manipulative power-behind-the-throne Machiavellian that the film portrays him to be? I don't think we're likely to know for quite some time. Nevertheless, I really think that the movie, were it not based on actual history, is quite moving and artistic.

You just have to forget that the movie is about real events when you watch it.

Brad & I actually went to see W when it was first out in the theaters. We both felt that it was probably pretty close to the truth. I don't know how moving I thought it was, but I definitely sympathized with the Bush character since it was obvious that he had no idea he was biting off more than he could chew.

Have you seen Star Trek yet? I plan to go see it again; maybe even this weekend. I'm sure I'll still enjoy it, but I'll watch it with a more critical eye this time.

Oh - what's going on with your job situation? Did your assignment simply end, or did something bad happen?
