Man, is it just me, or is LiveJournal really dying? I still check every day to see if there are any updates from my friends, but more often than not these days, there isn't anything new. Has everyone moved on to something bigger and better?

And don't say Twitter or I'll put you on every mailing list known on the Internet!

LJ is more for angsty bullcrap. More and more people are flocking to other blogs which center around specific themes. LJ is basically where people would talk about day-to-day stuff.

You can always start visiting my other blog, which is not an angsty, day-to-day, blow-by-blow commentary on how sad life is.

1) do it openly and politely, and
2) leave the invectives and ad hominems someplace else.

You both, actually, are kind of acting like idiots. Bruno, I appreciate you jumping to my defense. I really do. It means a lot to me that you'd come after somebody you barely know because you perceive a slight against me.

But Kevin's right. The bar scene is not where I'm going to meet a nice girl. It's where I'm going to meet selfish, self-centered bitches, just like in America. Right now, there's no place I can go to meet nice girls, so perhaps I should wait.

All the pick-up guides and The Game say that "waiting = never." Well, everything that I've seen here in Korea indicates that "Korea = never." Whatever

I think I have more communities than active LJ friends. I still stop by daily to see what's going on but find that I only post when I need to vent or have unusually good news. I use Facebook for most of my day-to-day stuff.

I think cowgirl hit it on with Facebook. It used to be LiveJournal was how you kept up with friends, but now Facebook does that.

In addition, it's a combination of getting older and self-fulfilling prophecy. We don't want to discuss every little thing in our lives anymore. They're boring and we know it.

At the same time, we also don't update because no one else is. It makes it feel empty and silent. It is like my forums. I end up posting on other forum communities because there are people posting there. No one is posting on my forum, and so when people come by they don't feel inclined to either.
