A couple weeks ago I started a new medication which kicked my butt for over a week. I didn't sleep for days, had horrible stomach pains and still had to take my exams. As for now, it's working out well enough, instead of taking the whole ??mg I started cutting them in half. The stomach pains are almost completely gone and I can at least sleep

I skimmed over your entry because I am SO SCARED of getting spoiled on Star Trek, but you can watch the original series over at cbs.com. They have them listed by season with a little synopsis for each episode.

I love Spock and hopefully they weren't cowards and actually made an Uhura/Spock love connection, LOL.

(I can't watch it until I go to Japan to visit my sister. :D)

Well right now I'm still in the US waiting for my visa issuance number, and then I'll be on the plane to S. Korea!

I'll basically be teaching English and making money, haha. :D

I am so excited for Star Trek! I cannot wait! Everyone has been pressuring me to get out and see it, but I promised my sis we would see it together. :D

I didn't really think that movie was as great as some of the others. I guess it was pretty good, but I wished they would've made more of an effort to stay more accurate with the rest of the original series. Also the amount of action in that movie wasn't accurate at all with how things usually happen in Star Trek.

Anyway, a year or two ago they redid all the special effects for the original series so it might not be so "bad" its still pretty much slow and maybe boringish to you but the ship, planet, and viewscreen amongst other things while keeping the original actors intact. You might be interested in watching that. Or Star Trek: Enterprise deals with a time period before the original series and it was made more recently I think ending in 2006 or 2007. I've been watching it recently and remember thinking it sucked when it first was on TV but going back and watching more than the first 4 episodes it is pretty alright.

i know that some people were bothered by the "alternate reality" thing. it didn't occur to me that it wasn't that accurate until i did some reading on the original series.

glad you at least thought it was pretty good.

Yeah it was mostly that which bothered me. Spock's mom's hair being brown not blonde, plus I think that winnona rider was a bad choice. Spock/uhura was weird as fuck, but then things like Dr. McCoy they made him so exactly the same it was unreal (same with Checkov, Sulu, and for the most part Scotty). It was mostly the fact though that it kind of erases everything that happens in every Star Trek ever, unless they make a 2nd movie in which they fix the timeline
