I was wondering if John might have been the one to kill Sam's dad, then I thought, but no, he wouldn't overlook obvious evidence that the guy was innocent. But then, does Sam remember or know every fact ? Maybe HE is wrong. SOMEthing drew John to believe the dad was a shifter.... ah, my brain hurts!

I am not surprised that John left in anger, but I WAS surprised that he stood down and listened first. Hopefully he will not plot to kill Sam behind everyone's back.
