It's happened to all of us unfortunately. In time this too shall come to pass. Keep working on that voice, it will come in time. You've already got the slim figure (I'm so jealous) to go with the voice in you that is just waiting to be found.
I third Serenefish's comment, even after being full-time for 9 months I still get self-conscious when people are laughing around me and I don't know what they are talking about.
The biggest thing I've found is attitude. People seem to just smell fear. The more comfortable you are with yourself the more comfortable other people are with you. Attitude is everything. I have a friend who put that on her cellphone wallpaper to remind her when she was first going out in public.
You're such a wonderful girl, you can't help but succeed!
