I hate mornings.... I really,really do.
I am not a morning person. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I abhor mornings the way a vampire hates garlic, crosses and sunlight. Part of the reason is I don’t get enough sleep as I toss and turn all night and often wake up almost as tired as I went to sleep. Dragonfly at work
Something interesting just happened. I stepped out into the hall way just outside my office and saw a dragonfly sitting on the venetian blinds inside the building. The nearby guard told me that it had flown in earlier today and was up inside one of the ceiling lights for about 3 hours. I was just curious, who is still reading my journal. I know at least a few people are reading it from comments, I know some people read but rarely comment. So, just wondering who's still out there? -
Seems like Hoovervilles are making a comeback...
On my way to work in the morning I drive along a stretch of narrow woods bounded on the other side by a concrete wall behind which is the Dulles Toll Road. There is perhaps 100 feet of woods between the road and the wall for the most part. Last month before the leaves came out I noticed there were people living in there. So after a brief conversation with my coworker about his daughter that he started, he said: “I don’t mean to sound harsh but don’t you think your being unfair to your family by choosing not to have kids and letting your family line die out since you didn’t have any siblings?” I told him I had plenty of cousins that had my last name so no.
