I know Opie was PISSED for a long time when we took in Nietzsche. There was growling for several months. They still have occasional battles for the Alpha role, but will sleep together and groom each other. Sometimes tolerating is the best you can get, but we were lucky. If she likes catnip, you can use that as a reward when Monster is around. Rewards when the cat of contention can ease a difficult introduction. Good luck with your new kitty!

I'm glad it's working out! Kimi is a very sweet cat. We got her on 10/31 and had her for just short of six weeks. I'll try to remember to bring you the paperwork tonight. I'll also call ARL and have them update their records.

I am so glad that you were able to open your home as a plausible solution to her placement. You are awesome for trying even if in the end it doesn't work out. Here is hoping that it gets to be a forever home though.
