5x7 Requiem

Season: 5
Episode: #7 Requiem

Oh my f***ing God! If this wasn't the most emotional episode of NCIS EVER! I mean, I thought there's never gonna be anything as Hiatus, but this was ten times worse than Hiatus! I nearly cried three times and believe me, if I was watching it alone I definitely would have.
I mean, apart from the earth shaking cliff hanger at the beginning, and it really really was mean to show us Tony desperately trying to CPR two people at once and not managing it, and then telling the story in a flashback. I was like, did I miss something? Harmon doesn't leave the show, does he? Haven't you read about Gibbs in one of the following episodes before I noticed that I haven't read anything about the following episodes yet, which was driving me crazy throughout the episode. But just how freaking mean are those writers?
Alright, it was really cool when Gibbs threatened the Marine. I asked myself what the hell would he have done if it had been his daughter? There were fun moments, only a few but they were good.
And apart from being a Gibbs-centric emotional episode it did have other emotional aspect I simply loved. Abby was great, as ever. Of course, me as a Gibbs/DiNozzo shipper I loved the interaction. Tony's look when Gibbs gave him command or when they found his badge. The way he tried to tell McGee and Ziva he wasn't that worried but then admitted that he had tried to call him.
Ducky was a little too pushy about the whole thing. He should have more insight in his friend Jethro and know that he has now the chance to make up for his daughter's death, even if it's only to himself.
Oh, but Jen annoyed me. When Gibbs said "She's a family friend" she should have got it. I mean, how many families did Gibbs have? One, right? And how old was that girl? Oh, as old as Gibbs' late daughter?! HELLO!!! You were an investigator once!
The ending was sooooooo dramatically, not that I'm complaining. I mean, as I said, I'm a shipper and Kelly sending Gibbs back was all we could ever wish for, isn't it? Cuase now, the pairing's back alive...sorry, this is not the place to talk about the pairing...
Altogether, I really think this could be one of my favourite emotional episodes, along with Hiatus and SWAK.

But I do have a question. The case solving was a little hectically, so maybe I missed something (I'm not native English), so, did anyone actually get why they killed the Marine and abducted her instead of waiting another day for him to get that letter? Or did they do it because he had told him about Gibbs shushing him away from the apartment?
