I totally agree with...em, everything. Well, Jeanne will torture us a little more, I'm afraid. Tony's really in love with her so he'll try everything. Oh! And how I loved it how pissed he was with Jenny. Nearly fell off the couch bouncing. The only thing that'd be good about Tony/Ziva (yuck, it's already difficult to type this) is that they'd have to hide it from Gibbs. That'd be funny, though I kinda pitied Gibbs in the last season and Gibbs isn't the character one should pity and therefore : No more secrets from Gibbs! Alright? It's too mean! He's always worried and all. Well, I waited for a tear, too, but he's been pissed. That's the other option, the Gibbs option. I guess we can expect a lot of friction between Tony and Gibbs, Tony and Jen, and Gibbs and Jen. This season will be fun!
mmh. i agree: friction is fun! and i hope it's less of the tony/ gibbs friction. i personally think gibbs is a bit proud of dinozzo (the way he smiles at him during the debriefing for example...). but i really think the tony/jen thing will be fun.
& it's not that i don't like jeanne, like so many others. i kinda think she's nice cause she made tony do things he would never have done before, she changed him & i just like her for that. but still... murder-girl? :(
& i also loved that tony was angry at the director (angry tony is great!) :) i loved the whole 'debirefing scene'. it was fun, with tony & gibbs eye-contacting, gibbs smiling when tony said no to the jen & everything. i really liked it, it was great acting too, i think.
and yes: poor gibs, everyone has secrets... but he kinda deserves it too: the way he left & then came back at the beginning of s4. that was just annoying. & mean to tony... (perhaps you noticed that i love tony, *g*)
Someone who loves Tony? I'm totally shocked...never could relate with people like that (I hope the sarcasm was delivered.) Season 4 was kind of the "breaking Gibbs" season. I don't know but I think it has something to do with the problems Harmon had with Bellisario. It was like a pissing contest. Bellisario showed Harmon that Gibbs is part of the show and not the show. Actually something I'd like, if it had been done differently. Anyway, Harmon won the pissing contest and we're all happy, except Bellisario. Though I do think there will be some Gibbs/Tony friction cause the boy grows up and maybe starts to question his daddy (No, I don't have a Daddy kink)
My understanding is it WAS Tony's car, or the car he's had since his last one got wrecked. Was it listed under his alias's name all this time? I don't know.
I also REALLY wish CBS didn't feel it neccessary to tell us Tony was alive in the commercials. We all KNEW he didn't get blown up, but having told us he didn't it detracted from the excellent acting the rest of the cast did when they thought he had died. (Abby/Gibbs=heartbreaking!)
my saying absolutely. I was spoiler before but being told (I'm not American, I have to watch the commercials on innertube, where only a commercial for the season was) exactly what's going to happen kind of destroyed the whole atmosphere. Of course we knew he wouldn't die, c'mon, they tried that one before, but still it would have been much better to hope with the characters instead of thinking "Jeeze, he's not dead! Stop goofing around and find him already."
If I hadn't know (for 100% sure) that Tony was alive the MTAC scenes would have been rough and the scenes at the burntout car would have been heartbreaking. The look on Gibbs face as he stared at the car? And the way Ducky said "she blames herself... should she?" and the way Gibbs didn't answer... pretty much saying he blamed Jenny...
Also- LOVED that suddenly Jenny was only called "Director" by Tony and Gibbs, they used to use her first name all the time. That was a subtle way of showing the change in their relationship with her.
yeah, i agree, i've also only seen the promo, and knew all about tony being alive :( but i still loved the scenes in mtac & the one by the car, i think it was just great. it was so emotional... they're all so shocked & even if i knew that tony wasn't dead, i kinda imagined what it must feel like for them - to see their friend & coworker being blown up & then looking at his burned body & having to work around it *shudder* i also loved the way gibbs reacted to the director, it's true: it's clear that he blames her. & even later, when he knows that tony isn't dead, he still does...
& i totally agree with the changing relatioship with jen/ the director, it was beautiful! the debriefing was great, especially that moment when she asks about what jeanne said and tony says 'nothing i'm gonna tell you. director.' & gibbs just smiles his proud smile, yay!
& of course i also LOVED the abby/gibbs scene, it was just beautiful... *sigh*
I loved it... I thought everything was great and I love the way that you've got the suspects - I did exactly the same thing :D:D
I was very angry with Jenny in this episode. the way she only cared for her own selfish obsession and not for Tony... It was annoying. But still it was a really great episode and a great start to the season!
the only thing that I disagree with, however is your thoughts on Tiva... I think that Tony and Ziva have to hook up! even if it isn't till the last episode of the last season I still think it has to happen... It just HAS to!
hes finalyn i found someone who thinks tony and ziva should be tohgther i love them i felt so out of place beefore but i'm better now and yeah ireally liked this episode too. the only bad part was when i first saw this episode i already saw episodes form season 6 so i knew he was alive but i was still confused.
Well, I'm mostly opposed to the idea because I don't want *any* romance in the show. I like (really, really like) interaction between the team, it's what makes the show good, but romance is what destroys a show. If it works out well it'll be boring some time and if it doesn't it'll be awkward and one of them is probably gonna leave. I don't wanna spoil you, but if you have seen it, think of the final of season 6.
well i did see it and i i understand that it will destroy the shows dynamic. and if any if them get together it will get boring and people like the tesion between tony and ziva and the ex romance between abby and mcgee. and gibbs has his romances but they naver really last. and trust me anything u refer to i know it i have seen all of the epiosdes. But you make a valid point.
