Agent DiNozzo, In Autopsy, With the Juvenile Wit...
Hearing autopsy’s doors swoosh open for the fourth, or was it fifth, time today Ducky looked up from his work and peered over his glasses at his guests.
“You’re beginning to get under my feet. Surely I can’t be the only source of leads in this building.” Ducky gestured above him with a specimen jar.
“Disturbing you Duck?”
Gibbs exchanged a look with the ME as Tony stood over the body wearing a disgusted expression. Gibbs wondered why he did both. Normally agents would either stay well back or accepted what they saw if they did venture forth. But then Tony never did fall neatly into such boxes. The man was a walking contradiction. Gibbs stifled a laugh as Ducky’s expression mirrored his. He cursed him internally, but always fondly, when he did that. He did it deliberately; he was convinced. Ducky’s face light up with little signs of mirth.
When they had finally recognised a world outside their own, Gibbs and Ducky noticed that Tony had turned his attention to them. His expression was now one of mischief.
“So. To what do I owe this pleasure Jethro?” Ducky held his instruments very purposefully over the body, poised to return to work. Mischief, it seemed, spread easily.
“I think he just fancies you.” Tony blurted out before his brain found a gear. A momentary smile shone from his face at his own wit, before he saw the return look on Gibbs’.
Ducky had to bite his lip and lower his eyes to his work as he heard the slap. There was no way he could look at Gibbs this time. The laughter he was thus far containing inside would have to be released at some point, so he busied his mind in the meantime. Tony really didn’t have a clue what he was saying half the time. How could someone so oblivious to certain things sometimes be so accurate?

Agent McGee, In the Head, With the Lacking Sixth Sense...
“You said that! In front of both of them?” McGee didn’t hold back his laughter, though it was making it really hard to pee.
“Yeah McGiggle. What’s the big deal? I mean it’s not like it’s true.” Tony looked at him incredulously as he dissolved into yet more laughter.
“Hey stop that, you’re gonna wave in my direction any minute now.”
When McGee finally pulled himself together enough to speak Tony just looked at him. “You mean you said that and didn’t even know?” Tony had stopped looking directly at him. “It’s so obvious even Ducky knows, not that he’d say anything...” McGee stopped as Tony’s expression clearly said ‘Man you’re in for it now’. McGee wasn’t sure he dared look round; with a pained look on his face he waited for the repercussions.
Gibbs contemplated them both as he washed his hands. They both stood perfectly still. He wished they’d do that more often, he might get a little peace. Giving nothing away he turned for the door and headed out, making a mental note not to make McGee laugh at the urinals in future.

Miss Scuito, In the Lab, With the Loud Music...
“No way!” Abby exclaimed to no-one in particular. Her fingers dashed over the keyboard as she tried to type at the speed she thought.
Reading the response she let out a snort. She typed again. The next response made her shiver in disgust.
“Aaaarg Timmy I hope you didn’t...”
“Mmm, I hope he didn’t either. That would really have spoilt Tony’s new shoes.” Abby leapt out of her skin, nearly knocking the ‘intruder’ reading over her shoulder clean over.
“Ducky! On my god, you didn’t just read... Oh you did.” Abby’s face was a picture as she watched Ducky smirking away.
“We don’t think that, I mean not all of us, I mean, um, I...”
“Relax my dear.” Ducky patted her on the arm as she watched, still startled. “As Timothy wrote, I do know.”
Abby just looked at his mischievous smile for a moment before tilting her head in puzzlement.
“Then why...?”
“Not act on it?”
Abby nodded.
“At this rate Abby I shan’t have to.” Ducky winked at her as he turned to go.
“There’s a sample on the table for you...”

Mr. Palmer, In the Elevator, With the Confused Identities...
Stepping into the elevator Ducky was surprised to find Mr. Palmer unsubtly attempting to straighten his attire. Ducky raised an eyebrow as he thought that there must be something in the water today. It wasn’t that Jethro was ever particularly subtle about his feelings for Ducky, but then today he almost seemed to be on heat. The thought made Ducky’s cheeks redden a little.
“You okay Doctor Mallard?”
Jimmy seemed to have pulled himself together.
“Yes, yes fine Mr. Palmer. Just having a rather amusing day, that is all.”
“Ah, I see.” He clearly didn’t.
“Doctor?”
“Yes Mr. Palmer.” Ducky tried not to sound weary, he was conscious of sounding discouraging a little too often with his assistant. He didn’t mean to be, but the way he addressed him was often so difficult to respond normally to. The young man’s lack of confidence showed through a little too much sometimes.
“I was wondering, if it was like, well, allowed, for someone in say the scientific side of NCIS to be... seeing... someone who was, say, more active in the field, maybe?” Jimmy actually looked like he was physically tying himself in a knot.
Ducky looked at the young man. The phrase ‘deary me’ seemed to fit him so well on so many occasions. Ducky wondered what on earth he was getting at and sincerely hoped it had nothing to do with him and Jethro, for the sake of poor Jimmy’s embarrassment more than anything else.
“What do you mean Mr. Palmer?”
“Well I just, if I... I mean you, or anyone, not specifically ‘you’ as in the singular ‘you’ but...” Ducky raised his hand to stop him before it got painful.
“Mr. Palmer. It might help if you tell me who you are actually talking about.”
“Um, an agent and someone working in autopsy, uh, maybe?”
Ducky just looked at him. How vaguely specific could you be?
“Oh no! I didn’t mean you Doctor Mallard... or a special agent or...” Ducky raised his hand again and tried very hard not to chuckle as he placed it on Jimmy’s arm. Not again.
“Relax dear boy, and I think you can ‘see’ whoever it is you like, as long as they are consenting also. Presuming of course you were in fact trying to talk about yourself?”
Jimmy visibly loosened. “Yes, yes that’s what I was talking about.”
Ducky turned back to the doors of the elevator. He wasn’t sure quite how much of this suppressed laughter he could keep in in one day.

Special Agent Gibbs, In the Cupboard, With the Medical Examiner...
Gibbs heard the silence precede him as he walked into the lab. Three faces looked at him with perfect, practised innocence. One just grinned.
“Hey Duck. What’s gotten their tongues?” Gibbs looked at his two agents and his forensic scientist like you would a waxwork. Abby tried to stay even more still, moving only her eyes to follows Gibbs as he inspected her more closely. He laughed.
“Nice impression Abs.”
Turning back to the others Gibbs’ brow creased a little. Ducky was still grinning, the other two however, had obviously been practising their ‘Gibbs’ Stealth’ as they had snuck out of the lab unnoticed. Gibbs frown lifted; it made him kinda proud. Turning to face Ducky, Gibbs obligingly kept looking at him as Abby failed to make quite so stealthy an exit as she sidled along behind him then scarpered.
“Don’t spose you know what all that was about Doctor?” Gibbs grinned at Ducky.
“Not a clue Agent Gibbs.” Ducky smiled knowingly back at him. “However, if there is anything you’d like to tell me.”
“Such as?”
“Well I don’t know, but you do seem a little, shall we say, ‘heated’ today Jethro.” Ducky maintained the smile as he tried to draw Gibbs out.
Gibbs moved forward carefully.
“’Heated’ Doctor, or would ‘on heat’ be more appropriate?” Ducky’s face flushed for a second time. He wondered if Gibbs really had learnt how to read his mind.
“Well, yes, you could say that...” Ducky shuffled a little.
“Those cameras still on?”
“Yes, I’m afraid they are.”
Their eyes both travelled to the cupboard.
“I think we might need something outta...” Gibbs gestured as Ducky nodded and they both stepped forward, pulling open a door.
In the relative secrecy between the doors, the two men took hold of each other and lips met. Marvelling at how soft Ducky’s lips felt, Gibbs pulled him forward against his leg. Oh yeah, Ducky definitely felt the same.
Ducky allowed Gibbs’ tongue to slip inside him just as he ran a hand up the inside of Gibbs’ thigh. He jumped a little and broke from the kiss as the hand brushed over him.
“Well you started it.” Ducky pouted playfully at him. Gibbs gently moved the leg Ducky was pressed against, eliciting a moan from him.
“Yeah but can you finish it Duck?”
“Not here I can’t.”
“You finished for the day?”
“Yes I think I might be Jethro.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watching the two men adjusting their attire and heading for the elevator, Abby, McGee and Tony huddled around McGee’s screen, partly to fight to see better, partly to make sure they blocked the view for anyone else.
“Think they’ll make it out of the elevator?”
