Beta request for untitled story...

Jul 19, 2010 08:12

Hey. I'm starting my own M-Preg story, and it's untitled so far. WARNING: It's gonna be a major-character death fic (sorry, seems to me I can't stop thinking about killing off a major character). I started my Ziva's Betrayal M-Preg fic, but sadly I had writer's block and stopped. So I don't have writer's block on this new one, but RL gets in the damn way (I've been sick- I have Crohn's disease...). I'm looking for a beta in advance, even though it's not finished. I have four parts done though (the MCD won't happen until later in the story...), and am planning on pushing out part 5 after my older brother's wedding (July 24th). Right now, I'm running scenarios in my head, trying to sort them out to fit the story. Yes, there will be warnings, ratings- the whole shebang. No character bashing this story, unless Daddy DiNozzo counts. Also beforewarned, it's definitely rated for adults only, because its smut-laiden in the beginning parts. I won't keep the smut rolling throughout though. And I gave Tony a family he could run to when he was younger. (That's all the hints and warnings I'm giving, my friends.)

So, please if you're willing to review what I have so far, e-mail me here at livejournal or at my hotmail e-mail: fried_yaoi@hotmail.com. I don't have a problem with constructed criticism. I plan on putting up the normal rating/warning/story title/disclaimer/author's name & notes/character list (it's not huge, promise) after the story is done.

Here's a minor excerpt from the story:

"So, you need to tell Gibbs, if you don't plan on having an unplanned pregnancy- if he decided to forgo protection." About that moment, Gibbs decided to give them a little scare.
"Tell me what? Hey, Abbs, Tony." Both woman and man jumped before turning to Gibbs and looked at him nervously. Tony steeled himself, and drew himself up.

"I have something to tell you, Gibbs, but can I do it when I come over tonight? Abby knows about us."

"Do you have a problem, Abbs?" She shook her head no.

"You, don't break his heart. And you, don't make him break your heart." She didn't address a certain man, so it hung in the air which one she meant the statements to. "I'll see you both tomorrow, right?" They nodded, and watched her leave.

"I promise to tell you when we get home, Jethro."

"Tony, I know. I overheard."

"All of it?" Tony squeaked. Gibbs just looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Just where Abby began interrogating you about us." Tony groaned.

"I hate it when I open my big mouth. So, do you want my resignation?" The headslap came unexpectedly, and Tony cringed.

"Why would I let you leave? There's nothing wrong with you."

"I'm an abberation of the natural law. I should not be able to get pregnant, Gibbs. It's wrong." Gibbs sighed, and motioned Tony over to his car.

"Leave your car here. I'll bring you back here anyway, tomorrow. Grab your over night bag, though." Tony complied, and was now getting into Gibbs' car to finish the conversation. "I have the same gene, Tony." He said softly. "My mother had given it to me. I said those same words when I learned them from my dad. Jack had to sit me down when he saw me looking at a few guys my age and almost flirted with them. He said that if I had started looking for a guy, that I was to wear protection always, not just because I could catch some virus, but that I could get pregnant. I had told him that men can't get pregnant, and that it's wrong- it goes against the laws of nature. He had repeated himself, and said that my mother had passed the gene onto me. I couldn't stay home, so I fled to a friend's house. After that, I met Shannon, joined the Marines, had Kelly- and the rest is history." He choked on his last sentence, noting that Tony had stayed quiet throughout. "Tony?"

"I'm sorry you had to go through losing them, Jethro." He squeezed the hand that was nearest him before looking out his window and sighing. "I wouldn't know much about parenting. You know I barely had a to-go-to father growing up. And my mother died when I was eight, so I barely had any support growing up. My aunt was barely there when I was twelve, she had her own children to deal with, and I had to stay with her when dad disowned me. So, my support network consisted of me and only me. Until I met you and the team, of course. Abby and Ducky have been there for me alot though recently."

"I've noticed that both have become very protective of both of us. Ducky knows about me too. And of us. He caught me looking at you a few times recently and asked if I'd do something about it. So I told him, and he approves. Told me not to break your heart." Tony smiled softly.

"I'm more likely the one to break yours, Jethro. Abby warned me not to hurt you because of my commitment issues. I love you too much to do that to you. Please help me make this work between us." He said the last quietly, and Gibbs had to swerve the car at that admission.

"Why don't we both help each other. We can rely on Ducky and Abby as backup to keep us together."

"We should tell McGee and Ziva about us. Just in case we'll need them as backup should Vance get wind of it and decides to break us up."
