I posted the pairings, categories and rules yesterday. A request has come up for a Best Crossover category. Yes/no? If yes, a category of its own (like Best gen and Best casefile), or a category below each pairing
( Read more... )
I think yes, but I'm not sure there would be enough in each pairing, except for maybe a couple of main pairings, so I would say it should have a category of its own.
Would you like to do the Best Crossover category as well as Best casefile?
As you say, it probably won't have that great amounts of noms so we'll keep it without pairings for now. If a whole lot of fics for a certain pairing are nominated, we may have to do a category of its own for that, but for now, we're keeping them in one. Are you interested? (I'm asking since you're one of the few who only has one category so far - if you don't want to, that's fine :))
What do you think is best? I think we can start out with no subcategories, like for Best casefile. If there are lots and lots of nominations, we'll have to separate them, either into categories or into pairings.
I'm torn about how to add this. By pairing will probably not give us enough to run the subcat. But, as a Gen cat it would be a tossed salad of characters and fandoms.
I'll go for a Gen cat with both pairing(s) and x-overs listed in the entry:
"Tony on the Hellmouth" by boifun, NCIS/BtVS, Gibbs/DiNozzo, DiNozzo/Xander, Xander/Spike, Abby/Willow.
I figure we'll add it as a category like Best gen and Best casefile, and if there's a particular pairing that has lots of noms, we'll make it separate from the rest - but I'm with you, I doubt there'll be enough stories for each pairing to have it as a category.

But if 'yes'. I suggest under each pairing rather than a whole category of its own.
