I love my house!
Although double brick isn't nearly as good for insulation as one might think - in terms of insulation efficiency they kind of suck - I'm incredibly grateful for the amount of thermal mass our place has

No, our windows are all sucky aluminium framed single glaze. We've also got gaps between the floorboards and the walls, poorly fitting doors...
Lots to fix insulationally. But that's just the thing - our house is far far from perfect. As long as there are cool evenings and sensible occupants, we don't need any airconnage :)
