I predict the smoking seton will be a severe blow to the smoker sub-culture. While the smoking circle will still exist, we will lack our centralized locations, our own turf away from non-smokers. Soon the non-smokers wil trickle into the formerly smoking sections, bringing their children. They will now assume it is their right to be there. They will be sitting in your favorite spot before you were able to get there, they will let their children run wild and cry as much as they want. They will be just another face in the restraunt when it comes to knowing your waitresses by name, and having them know what to bring you before you even order. I dont like these laws, why kill smoking sections? We only have so many places to go.

yeah, but that wont be smoking again unless they rework the ventilation so that the smoking and nonsmoking sections are seperate. not only seperate but also higher pressure in the nonsmoking section so that when the door to the smoking room is opened the smoke will not drift out.
