[Roderich leisurely enters the break room with a bag of grounded Mokka coffee beans and walked straightly to the coffee machine, and is surprised to see it is already occupied with someone else. After a week working in Nationcorp, he finds out that the earlier he goes to brew his coffee, the less messy machine he gets to use. He also knows that the coffee provided by the company does not meet his standard, so he simply brings his own everyday.]

.........

[For some reason, the brunet man seems to get frustrated at the machine to the point he doesn't notice a person just walked into the room. Roderich says nothing and waits quietly until the man leans against the wall and faces him directly. Glancing at the sighing man, he finds his remarkable olive eyes very familiar, as if he had seen this man somewhere. But he decides to keep quiet and hold on to his question.]

[His eyes closed for a moment, Antonio tries to tell himself that he only needed five minutes, just five minutes and then he would be up, ready to go! That the fact that it was the beginning of the week was all right, after all, it just mean that there were more chances for fun things to happen. However, the fact that he had spent most of the time during the weekend at work, unable to meet up with the new friends he had made caused him to feel disappointed with the start of his week. After all, all work and no play was no fun at all.]

.....

[The sound of the grinding taking place, Antonio finally opens his eyes and stares at the machine. Then finally, he blinks a few times after sensing the presence of someone else in the room. Neglecting the fact that it is often considered rude to stare, he fixes his focus somewhere in between the man's eyes. Usually he would have some decency to look away, but given how much he was not a morning person, he did not seem to care that he was staring rudely.]

[Roderich immediately senses the stare from the man he just glanced at and pretends he doesn't notice it for about half a minute before glancing back at the green-eyed man again. The stare is so intense that he thinks something ugly must have stuck on his face, or he just did something ridiculous. As an afternoon-person, he doesn't comprehend what meaning of the stare until the coffee machine makes a sound and breaks the silence. He is partly disturbed by the strong and seemingly rude stare, but soon he realises that the man was pondering about the same question.]

{{Ah, he seems so familiar, I wonder who he is.}}

[Roderich puts down his mug and returns a soft stare at the man, then throws a glance at the filled coffee cup, wondering what he will do next. ]

I guess we all forget to write in present tense from time to time. spanana November 23 2010, 04:55:06 UTC
[Soon, Antonio notices that the guy is standing back and his brows knit in slight confusion. Some people are just not morning people, he supposes, but it didn't mean that they needed to give him such a look!]

What's up with that guy?

[The sound of the coffee maker interrupts Antonio's thought process, drawing his attention with the fragrant smell of coffee enticing him as he walked over and picked up the pot to pour himself a cup. Pouring a splash of milk into the cup, he places the pot back and stirs the coffee slightly before giving the man a polite nod.]

'Scuse me.

The staring can't last forever! Also, I'm posting a new comment for the sake of neatness. wien_sonata November 23 2010, 19:13:17 UTC
[As the man nods politely at Roderich and apologises for whatever he has done unmannerly, he naturally returns the nod and has his mug ready to use the coffee machine.]

It is alright.

[He glances at the man once more before he takes he leave, and feels the urge to ask him the question in his mind.]

Have I ever seen you before?

But I win. spanana November 25 2010, 06:09:51 UTC
[As he was leaving, the sudden question causes Antonio to stop in his tracks. The Spaniard instead turns and looks at the Austrian in mild confusion, after all, what would the man want from him? Then Antonio notices that the man looked oddly familiar though he could not place where they had met before. However, that was hardly any excuse to call out to a stranger, which caused Antonio to look at the man warily.]

Eh? Sure, maybe? I dunno.

[With that Antonio smiles politely, deciding to humor the man if he became more curious. After all, it was not like he really had anything important to do.]

No, I won't let you. wien_sonata November 29 2010, 00:01:33 UTC
Oh, I see.

[Frowning at this vague reply, Roderich glances at the man indifferently for one last time yet replies him in a friendly tone, then looks away coldly -- something he always do to show disinterest at people during social situations. Neither Roderich appreciates humours, nor the man has a good sense of it. He takes over the coffee machine and fills it with his own bag of grounded coffee beans.

[A bit puzzled by the response after being asked such a question, Antonio tilts his head slightly as he watches the man go back to making his coffee.]

Okay... I guess some people aren't that talkative in the morning.

[Dismissing the previous attempt to carry on a conversation, Antonio shrugs and leaves the room, going back to his desk. There was a lot to do today and so he did not have any time to spare to sit in the break room]

[OOC: I can't really see this scene gong any further, but if you wanna do another break room scene or something else, feel free to skip ahead in time.]

Good afternoon.

[Seeing the other man, he nods and replies with the same degree of smile, then puts his coffee mug -- a different one-- on the table next to the coffee machine. The coffee mug is a swag from Imperio with a bright logo on top of it. The purpose of using this mug, of course, is to attract the Spaniard's attention.]

Why don't you put your documents on the table? Are they important and urgent?

[Turning to look at the man, Antonio was a bit surprised to get a response. However, he decided that he would take whatever response he could get to mean that he had permission to keep talking (not that he wouldn't have talked to him anyway). At the question that was posed at him, Antonio turned and looked at Roderich before looking down at the stack of documents in his hands.]

Oh, haha, good call!

[With that, he looked at the counter to make sure it was dry before casually tossing them onto it. He watched as the folder slid a little before stopping and grins sheepishly before he finally notices the coffee mug. He stares at it for a bit before looking up to study the other man again, a look of curiosity in his eyes.]

Say... where'd you get that mug?

Sorry for short reply. I don't know what to write -- this is action post after all. wien_sonata December 20 2010, 23:32:40 UTC
[So the mug is taking effect, Roderich notes to himself satisfactorily as he goes to check out the seemingly new coffee beans provided by the company on the table. He turns his head to the Spaniard, looking slightly surprised at the question.]

I went to an annual party organised by this company a couple years ago, and they gave out this mug as a souvenir.

And in return, I write you a book. spanana December 21 2010, 04:53:21 UTC
[Antonio raises an eyebrow at the explanation because he's having quite a hard time remembering much about the party. If anything happened, it was very likely that after the party, his close co-workers and he went out to the bars all night (and had a little too much fun). That would explain why he did not really remember the mugs either.

Antonio could not deny the fact that mentions of the company, long done in by the greed of its own partners, still caused him to feel a sense of morose. After all, he was proud to work there and had sincerely though that the company was like his family outside of well, his family. Leaning against the counter, Antonio studies Roderick carefully, taking in his rather aristocratic features before he tilts his head.]

I see. What company did you work for, if you don't mind me asking?

[The Spaniard is curious to see what Roderick would say, telling himself that this world was indeed small.]

Fixed for the nth time! Ajajajaja! wien_sonata December 22 2010, 02:05:20 UTC
[Seeing the Spaniard having no idea who he exactly is, Roderich decides to give retrieving his memory back. Why bother doing that? It's not like their first meeting was unpleasant, but maybe it would be the best for both of them re-meet each other again. Eyes widened at the question, his mind goes blank and doesn't know what to reply for a while because of the uniqueness of her status in the company.]

Who came with me? Well, my mother invited me to the party. Her name is Amalia, Amalia Hapsburg -- do you know her by chance?

[At one point, Antonio was listening attentively to the man as they were speaking, but then became increasingly distracted as he tried to remember the night of the holiday party. Was there a man that looked like him? Then again, a lot of men wore glasses there, though a lot of people also switched to contacts at the party so he took it to mean-]

Her name was Amalia, Amalia Hapsburg.

[Aside from the James Bond like introduction of his mother, Antonio met the man's violet eyes, a flicker of recognition flashing in his olive green eyes.]

Oh. Hapbsburg. I guess you guys were related to Carlos then!

[He chirped the name happily, though the undertone was a little darker, slightly bitter about what had happened. However, there was no real point in dwelling in the past, though the more that he thought about it, Carlos did introduce him to his incredibly large(and powerful) family.]

[Carlos Hapsburg? Not remembering any Spanish descendant in his family, Roderich repeats the name to himself several times until he remembers Carlos is the equivalent of Charles in Spanish, and he gradually recollects some blurred memories about this man he had seen only once or twice.]

Oh yes, Uncle Charles.

[According to his mother (who loves baking so much that she nicknames his brother "Charlotte"), Charles was a strict and responsible leader who led the company very well, but she claimed that she had no clue about the reason of her brother's embezzlement and often refrained from this topic. Anyhow, Imperio LLP was none of Roderich's business but his uncle's, so he didn't pay much attention to it.]

I haven't seen him for many years.

[The short responses that he had received from the man, Antonio thought that perhaps the Austrian was just being shy. Or perhaps just not talkative... but either way, Antonio continued talking.]

Oh? You haven't seen your uncle? Isn't that kind of weird? He didn't... move to some remote island or something, did he?

[Antonio looked looked at Roderich with a look of curiosity and sincere interest, despite the ridiculousness of his questions.]

[The way Antonio asks this question is quite interesting. At first Roderich thought the Spaniard, as the former employee of Imperio LLP, should had known that Uncle Charles is probably in prison right now for his embezzlement, but very soon he figures out what he is really asking for ( ... )

[After hearing Roderich's explanation, Antonio nodded in response and shook his head. It was not that he didn't wanna talk about Roderich's family, after all, family was very important to the Latin, but rather, the unpleasant memories that came with the memories of the partner was not exactly something that he wanted to dwell upon.

"I guess I can understand, I got family practically all over the world... makes reunions really hard."

[With that, he heard the hiss of the coffee machine.]

"Oh, that's mine, let me get that real quick!"
