Yao liked Christmas well enough. It was pretty, with all the decorations, and getting days off from work was always a nice bonus.
It was only until after Christmas though that things -- to him -- started to get really interesting. For a start, there were the dramatic discounts as shops tried to get rid of their stock in the narrow window between Christmas and the New Year. And there was no better day to exploit this than Boxing Day.
If, of course, you could survive the crowd of like-minded people. Pushing his way through the press of bodies in the mall, Yao managed to avoid the current of people streaming into a fashion clothing store and navigate his way into the homeware shop instead. -- He half-crashed into someone as he turned. "Aiya!" The box slipped dangerously before he caught it. "Hey, be careful!"
