Schmoo

We've been worried about the Schmoo for a little while now... he's been having stomach issues and hasn't been as "friendly" as his usual self for a few months now. Normally he'd jump up on the cat tower during the day and up on the bed in the evenings. He hasn't done either of those much in the past few months. We're having a few more tests run to see the extent of the illness. He's still being a trooper. Other than a bit more sleeping, you wouldn't suspect anything wrong.

I'm so sorry. Poor Schmoo!!

Lymphoma (intestinal) is what Jedi had. Vet prescribed him pregnisone, and that helped his symptoms and energy level improve for like 6-9 months or so, and then all the symptoms came back again. You can try a couple different things to make him more comfortable and happy. Poor little guy. I hope he does well and improves! Thinking of him...

Yeah, we have him on the Pregnisolone (or whatever) and we even have him on some chemotherapy. (CCNU treatment, if you know what that is.) He's doing okay... sleeps a lot, but it's hard to tell if that is age, Schmoo being Schmoo, or the illness. Probably all 3.

We've basically been told he has 6-9 months, so we're just trying to make the best of it. If the treatments get too severe or he starts getting real sick, we'll probably have to take sadder steps. His quality of life is important. I don't want to see him suffer.
