So as I was walking down Canal St. to catch a cab after work today, I got stopped by a couple of young drunk individuals in search of the French Quarter. The first thing that came to my mind was the truth: that they were already in the French Quarter. Interestingly enough what came out of my mouth was something like: sure, go up St. Charles

as someone who is currently playing tourist, this story scares the hell out of me. luckily, so far, all the dubliners i've talked to have been kind and either pointed me in the right direction or told me they didn't know where i was going. 'bad person' is pretty strong, but i don't think that you fall under the categories of 'really nice' or 'helpful'
