"..you know, George Washington Carver. He did that thing with all of those peanuts. Or was that Booker T. Washington."

"No, I think he was a writer or something."

"No, you're thinking of Langston Hughes."

"You mean Michael Jordan."

"Shut up Noah."

I thought it was Charles Schulz who did all that with the peanuts. The only Booker T. I know of is a crappy pro wrestler.

Langston Hughes was born in Joplin (I know my jazz people) and anyone associated with Janis Joplin must by default not be considered in a black history month conversation.

And as for Jordan, he couldn't beat Larry Bird OR Mia Hamm in a game of horse.
