semi-annual update
Well I'm not waiting a year this time...lol
So today we have the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. (queue Clint Eastwood)
Good - I GOTZ A PUPPY! Steven got me a cute little pup (well, he's a year old) for my birthday a few weeks ago. I was a little leery of him at first, but he's fitting in nicely now. Pics to follow.
Bad - We put my dad into Hospice a few weeks ago. He had several strokes and we nearly lost him. He's stable again now, and actually getting a little stronger, but the doctor feels it's just a matter of time. I don't think we're talking days, but I don't think we're talking months either. He's had several mini-strokes since then, including one Monday night. We have a betting pool going on which condition will kill him....the cancer, the strokes, or the diabetes. With our luck, he'll slip and fall in the bathroom.
Ugly - I'm going in for surgery next week. For those of you that have been on here for years, you'll recall the post about anal fissures back in '06. Well the treatments didn't work. So, after 25 years of pain and bleeding, I'm having the corrective surgery done. *sigh* I go in Wednesday. On the plus side, because of the surgery, recovery, working from home, and the holidays....I only have 2 more days in the office this year.
