DIFT - Generation Two - Anna in Bridgeport

Nov 19, 2011 17:13

The second generation of my DIFT was in some ways more challenging than the first generation. This was partially because I didn't prepare Anna as well for her goals as maybe I should have.  Due to both the nature of the DIFT storyline and the potential length of the challenge it's advisable to move sims not only from house to house but also from ( Read more... )

Cool! I like getting the quick updates on your DIFT. It's an interesting challenge.

So shower woohoo really produces a hydrophobic kid? That's...kind of hilarious... ;-)

From what I can find, shower woohoo isn't supposed to create Hydrophobic kids. In a hot tub there is supposed to be a 50% chance of it - but both Anna and Addison were conceived in the shower and both were born Hydrophobic. There are a variety of traits that kids can inherit from where they were conceived. Tree Houses, hot tubs and love beds (the heart shaped vibrating beds) each have results.

It sounds like you're doing well so far! I like hearing about how the experience is going. I still have never played TS3 so it's cool seeing it from other people's POVs.

So far so good it seems :) I don't think sims 3 will every overtake Sims 2 in my estimation or fun rankings but it's fun for a bit. As is constantly said, if I could merge the two games I might have a perfect game.

It is an interesting way to see the whole of the game, I've been looking at it and tweaking some of the generations in order to include things from later expansions. It is quite fun. :)

Wow, that many kids in a career-oriented generation must have been a lot of work! Well, they seem to have managed fine nevertheless. *snickers at showers and hydrphobia*

Glad you're still enjoying it, looking forward to seeing Chandler's adventures! :)

Three kids were too many for this generation and a female heir. Anna was really pushing it to get that last promotion, I think she got level 10 business on the last day she went to work before dieing. There's way too many things that make sims skip work in sims 3 (several days off given for honeymoon, maternity leave, graduations ect..). Sims 2 maternity leave is optional but sims 3 forces it on the sim and if they have a weekend in the middle then the days off are tacked onto the end. So a four day maternity leave could very easily be a full week, plus if they start to show in the middle of the day they leave work.

I really like the adventuring in WA so that part of Chandler's life is a lot of fun. There's some parts of it that are making me head desk but I'll post about that later :)
