Got my key to the bookstore, so I guess its "official" now, I can go in on weekend and holidays if I really want to. I think I'd be a bit more jazzed about this if I weren't so damn tired right now. Likely be the hardest day in the bookstore yet. Nothing says "fun" like enough stress to wake up repeatedly at night. Five times by 2:30, when I went to sleep at 10:30. Oh, today ought be so much fun I can't begin to describe it.

Things are still going pretty well. It was fairly busy today, and I was by myself for the first hour and a half. The other opener (staff member) not being in I knew about, but the one at 9 not making it till 9:30 was a bit of a surprise. Just got back from Sioux City. Now for the epic task of emptying the car.

Day 2 at the bookstore. They had balloons, a cake, and a huge sign saying "Welcome Grant". I met more people in the first 20 minutes here than in the first 2 weeks at Ameritrade ( Read more... )

Didn't go too badly, in fact it went well. Was out at work for a total of 7 hours (1 of which was lunch), and still got paid for 8. And, the bookstore hours are pretty limited, which ought be pretty interesting.

Second day is today, and I'm thinking that it should go pretty well.

Must not freak out. Today is just Orientation. Must not freak out. Oh god! The freaking out!

One of these days I need a weekend from my weekends. I've had stuff going on for the past 3 weekends, meaning I haven't had much of a chance to sit back, relax, and do not a damn thing. Got to say, I'm looking forward to this weekend, since I'll be done with my current job, and so far as I know, there's nothing going on. Sweet!
