Mazel tov. It'd be better, though, if they'd actually enacted a law supporting gay marriage, rather than simply defeating (by five votes) a proposal to put a gay marriage ban in the MA constitution, which can be proposed again for 2012.
Why thank you! My legislators are big-time supportive, but I e-mailed them anyway. I even e-mailed a Polish legislator who was uncertain but voted no (the good vote) to thank him!
My feeling is that by 2012, gay marriage will be too "old hat" to make a stink over, at least in Massachusetts. I am a big optimist but it will have been 8 years by then, and MA won't have fallen into the sea or had turkey/dog/human polyamory.
