New Paint Job!

I am at work, and the only picture I have here of the way the house used to look is one of the living room while the previous owners still lived there. I have other pictures of the old entryway & dining room, but they are at home and I don't want to wait to post until then. Thanks! It never seemed to end. I figure I spent nearly 35 hours on this. I had no idea what I was getting into.

Thank you! We were afraid too, that is why it took us 10 months to decide on colors. heh. I was afraid it would look too dark and tracyfort was afraid it would look too Christmasy, but it doesn't at all!

Saturday morning I woke up and couldn't move my arms without intense pain. It was crazy! But I took a couple ibeprofen and it got better.

Burgundy is a dark red, right? If so, good choice! I was actually thinking of that for the dining room. I like dark colors. They really add life to the space.

Our bedroom used to be dark red, but it was too shiny. So I would make sure you know what level of shinyness you want first. I prefer the eggshell finish for the walls, and the satin (shinier) finish for the trim.

People kept telling me (and still do) that dark colors make a room appear small. I don't buy it. I think that might be the case if the ceiling was painted dark as well, but the white on the ceiling and trim really opens up the space.
