I need to get to sleep. All I hear is my kitchen sink making a constant drip echoing (that word looks weird?) in the sink of half full dishes. I must be up in about 5 hours to be to work. I'm stressed about two of my kitties dealing with medical issues & plain old age. My Himalayian grouch "Oscar" has an eye that has been scratched quite bad. He

I went through your situation last year with my Mac. You will know when it is time with Ellie. If you still have doubt, don't do it. She will let you know when it is time to go. One morning with Mac I just woke up and heard his labored breathing and he did not want to eat. When you have a 22 lb cat who does not want breakfast you know he is not happy. That day I sat with him in his favorite spot and called the vet who came to my house a few hours later. Wow, I can't believe in a few weeks it will be a year. I still think I see him in the hallway sometimes.

Our Dog Luke is getting old and I have to keep reminding him to go and sit on his mate and he has gone a bit deaf. It like watching a pet die instead of watching him live.
