death is hard to cope with,i know better than anybody, especially if it's someone that close to you.. like your mother. i couldn't even begin to imagine. don't treat rob differently. being timid around people after times like these aren't always the best because it subliminally sets something off in the brain that causes them to be more depressed in the long run.. kind of like they're wallowing and everyone will always be there to baby them from there on out. i think you should take the dude to dinner. discuss things. get closer. let him know you're sorry, but not to the point where it can effect the way he acts negatively. life is short. seize the day. i'm glad i have you as one of my closer friends. take care buddy. i love ya.

I got to talk to him on the day of the funeral. I made sure to tell him that I was sorry about my non-reaction on Friday morning, that the news had honestly surprised me.
Hopefully we're seeing him soon, they'll probably stop by on their way home from the Keys (they took Bob, Jill's husband, to the keys on the trip that Bob and Jill usually took together).
I was actually worried about Debbie. I know her and Jill had something really special, esp. since she was the only daughter in a house of almost all men. Laurie said that She stayed with her the whole time in her bed until it happened.
The only positive in all of this is that the family had some time to prepare themselves and the funeral, so everything was the way she would have wanted it, which was really cool.

Anyways, hopefully we'll hang out tomorrow or Saturday, and I'm keeping your "stash" separate from mine.
Love u 2,
Seth
