I've run into my first problem since taking on my parasite, severe dehydration. I'm under orders to take it easy from now on, drink Gatorade and tons of water or else find myself in the hospital hooked up to an IV. Not something I want to have happen ( Read more... )

Yup, you need a ton of extra water since once you're in the third trimester your blood volume increases by 50%, the body is just working extra hard now to keep everything going. Add in the fact that you're always hot and sweating and hitting the can every 10 minutes and you lose water like crazy along with a lot of minerals.

There's a lot of wacky crap that happens to you that I had no idea about until now, don't let anyone tell you that this is "easy".

Summertime doesn't really make it any easier either.

Eh, take it easy and take care of yourself. You're in the home stretch now.

It doesn't and the fact that I live in a six flight walk up makes it that much worse.

I'm trying to relax but I'm so bored and there's a lot to do before August, it's very hard to sit still.

*nods* I can appreciate that, though I'm sure you'll find ways to occupy yourself. Just don't overdo things, 6 flights of stairs? No elevator? ugh x.x That's got to be murder.

Nope, no stairs and get this...our apartment walls are lined with metal plating behind the sheet rock and so when it gets hot it stays hot!

Sure, the place is very fire resistant but being on top right under the black tar roof and the metal sheeting in the walls makes it a sweat box when we hit 90 and above.Thankfully, that hasn't happened much yet.

I'd suggest investing in an oscillating fan and popsicles. Metal plating... sheesh x.x

Atleast we have AC in our bedroom and we're probably going to install the second one in the bedroom this weekend. Get expensive though...

Once thing I miss about the South, central A/C!
