タクシのドアは開ける。 Definitely too advanced to attempt what I actually want to say. Apparently in Japan the doors of taxis open and close automatically? So you're not supposed to try to open or close them yourself. Weird.

Right, the driver's got control of it. But isn't it the same in NYC? I don't remember being particularly shocked the few times I rode taxis in Japan..
