Also, I'm not even going to touch the first argument because I still firmly believe in the separation of church and state and I believe that that argument shouldn't be a valid one when creating laws for the general public. I understand that you're voting based on your own morals and beliefs, I just don't think basing your morals on religion in the topic of lawmaking should be applicable at all.

1st refutation: It doesn't matter who the donor is, because if you truly believe in equal rights, you would make sacrifices. The Sierra Club is an environmental organization so they might not have the same views on human rights as the CTA does ( ... )

I don't think God died on the cross to "stop" sin. He died on the cross to forgive sins, and to take the burden for our sins.

The basis of your entire argument is that homosexuality is abnormal, not okay, and shouldn't be tolerated. What about people who don't believe that?

To claim that people "choose" to be homosexual is complete and utter bs. Every gay person I have ever met has struggled so much with coming to terms with their sexual orientation, and some to this day live in fear of being ostracized or disowned by their own parents. What a choice.

I respect your viewpoints 100% and wouldn't dream of trying to make you change your views. However, for me, this is not about religion, not about forcing people to "accept sin." This is about basic human rights. Period.
