Writing his death was sooo hard, but I'm glad you liked the ending! Thanks for reading bb <3

Ack, my heart hurts! That's a compliment, btw, but still -- it hurts! :( I appreciate the happy reunion at the end, thank you.

This was beautifully written. And it felt right that Arthur was so accepting and matter of fact about his impending death -- every time he goes to battle he has to be prepared for that possibility (although on the show he seems invincible, but I guess that's Merlin).

I can totally imagine "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" inspiring this... Death Cab are the royalty of angst!

*hugs you* Aww, I'm sorry for any heart pain I may have caused you bb! I almost didn't include the "happy" ending, so I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I definitely agree that Arthur would be mature enough to be accepting of death. The few times we see our Arthur face the possibility of it (when he drinks the poison in Merlin's place in "The Labyrinth of Gedref" or in "Sweet Dreams" after he's regained his senses and is about to fight Vivian's father and he then asks Merlin to look after Gwen if anything should happen to him) he's displayed a lot of mature acceptance about it.

LOL @ your comment that Death Cab is the royalty of angst. Sooo true.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting bb! You are a star <3

Don't be sad bb! Think of it this way: Arthur and Gwen are now together forever and ever...and if that doesn't cheer you *offers hugs and cookies*
