Man, I love debating people on creationism versus evolution, atheism vs christianity. I won't even get started here, I'll say it once and for all though I'm an atheist through and through, but if in my lifetime I find undenial proof in the other direction I'll be the first to say, "well looks like I was wrong" until then, more and more proof keeps ( Read more... )

dude, you should hear the crap that my soon-to-be ex-roommate has been telling me since he discovered "god" [I don't capitalize it for a reason]. I was gonna post it in my own journal but I didn't wanna start another argument among the couple people on my list who are the same way ( ... )

Yes I agree completely, I'm sorry but I find that when scientific evidence points out that there were humans dating back before the origins of judaism then there is no basis for christianity anymore beings apparently life started and the belief in God was already there in their belief system when life began. Well sorry to say if we existed before the thought of God existed, then doesn't that mean he really doesn't exist and is a fabrication of our own minds?

yes really, you'd have to be pretty stupid even to think that it could be true. only one thing really needs to be said, which you basically just stated: "evolution has been scientifically proven". if I remember correctly, there is not a single thing in the bible that has ever been proven to have actually happened. but even if that's not good enough for them, we can always throw in the fact that the Shroud of Turin has been proven to be a hoax. they always claim that as one of the biggest concrete pieces of evidence that someone named Jesus actually existed and was resurrected.

btw, I seem to remember in your profile before you changed it, didn't it say something like "all I ever do is lift, eat, and go to church"?

Yeah it did in fact say that at one time, that was a very short lived experience as I realized that the way I had always believed was the right way, and that I hated the religion even more once I got into it. It's corrupt, hypocritical, and once in its their way or the highway. I for one respect people's rights to marry who they choose, I respect a womans right to her own body, and I respect the right of the people to research new cures for diseases using failed embryos and aborted embryos, no use letting them go to waste. So I came back to the old ways, atheism at its finest, few morals = lots of fun anyways

yea, when i was little i never went to church let alone thought about god then when my dad remarried my step mom made me every sunday then to church camp and i hated it because i've always believed in evolution and they always told me i was wrong and to think their way. i got to hate being a christian and refused to go to church now im into atheism and it's christian's own fault.
