Sometimes B wonders why he even bothers. Nobody even comes inside this house. And every time he does it, they just send another person right after, as though to deliberately annoy him.

And this one is gawking at one in particular. Awesome.

A person who does not look like the 'dad' in the photo stands there, with his hands in his pockets, just... staring listlessly, slightly above the teen's face. This is what he sees, floating over his head:]

[ he fumbles with the picture a bit, trying to place it back down before he dropped it. turning sharply toward the figure, and narrowing a look. ]

Believe me, I wish I was. [ never mind he isn't actually sure just what the guy means. ]

I'll take care of that photo, if you like. After all, now that you've established where you stand in the so-called family, it has outlived its use.
