Snowy Valentine's Day: Chapter 1 (The Missing Maknaes)
It was when Taeyeon did her morning room check that she found out that’s something is definitely wrong.
Taeyeon woke up early as usual to conduct her daily room check of the Soshi members. As a leader, she always ensures that none of them escaped during the night and that everyone will be finally home before the morning comes. A typical ahjumma.
It was then that she discovered that something was definitely wrong for the SNSD’s baby maknae had gone missing. Her bed was empty and there were no signs of her elsewhere. She went to the rooftop to check if Seohyun just woke up early to meditate but she was still nowhere to be found. When the kid leader was finally back, her mind had completely gone berserk.
“All of you, WAKE UP!!!!!!! THE MAKNAE IS MISSING!!!” Taeyeon screamed at the top of her lungs, breaking the record of their human alarm clock who was no other than Tiffany. In an instant, the members came out scrambling off their beds, yes, even the sleeping beauty Jessica. However, the ice princess seemed like she still could not catch on what was happening because she was the next one who screamed (it’s just like the battle of the most powerful voices), “YAH TAENGOO!!! YOU DON’T HAVE TO SHOUT!!! WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING! OMIGOSH, YOU UNNECESSARILY DISTURB MY SLEEP YET AGAIN!”
“SICA, THE MAKNAE SEOHYUN IS MISSING!!!” The other 8 members yelled at her. It somehow brought her senses back but on the other hand, she almost lost her hearing.
So here started the interrogation of how Hyoyeon was not able to notice anything unusual that night, she being Seohyun’s roommate and the clarification if the door was locked and if they checked, rechecked, and double-checked it last night. Then came her endless tirade of assumptions which included the “burglar” entering through the window (which in the opinion of the other members was completely illogical seeing that their room is at the 10th floor.)
“Whatever, we must look for her!!!” Taeyeon shouted yet again and the other members scrammed off and searched for the maknae in every possible place: under the bed, beneath the sofa, inside the closets and cabinets (Yuri thought that the maknae might be pranking them. Hyoyeon answered, “She’s not a prankster like you!”) and even inside the ref?
“Where the heck are you searching, Sooyoung and Yoona?” Jessica asked the 2 shikshins who were bending over the refrigerator, obviously not searching for Seohyun but for food.
“Need energy for searching,” they answered. Jessica could only sigh.
“What if we call her?” Tiffany suggested.
“You’re right!!!” Taeyeon brightened up and hugged Fany. They called her phone and they heard it rang inside the bedroom. Hyoyeon went back inside and got the phone.
“She left her phone,” Yuri replied. “What if we check the inbox to see if that will give us a hint?” Sunny, the investigator, was on the work. They opened the messages inbox and found this:
Last Read Messages: Kyu-oppa
Without caring anymore of the maknae’s privacy, Taeyeon opened the messages since for her, this was a matter of life and death.
Seobaby, open the door. I’m right outside.
That’s it! Kyuhyun-oppa kidnapped Seohyun!” Taeyeon exclaimed.
“Unnie, that cannot be called kidnapping if it’s done with consent,” Yoona said.
“That’s not because you’ve given consent to Donghae-oppa last time, that also means that Seohyun also gave her consent to Kyuhyun-oppa,” Taeyeon said reminding her of the time when Donghae sneaked into the dorm at 1 am to invite her for a date and she ended up sleeping at Suju’s dorm. Taeyeon ran off to SJ’s dorm that day to pick Yoona there like she had eloped with Donghae. On the other hand, Leeteuk thought that Taeyeon did that as an excuse to see him.
“Seohyun will not go without asking permission from me. She was really kidnapped. Gonna go to Jungsu-oppa now…”
“The leader has declared war again,” Yuri said watching the leader stomping to her room to prepare for the “battle”.
“I thought she will live up to her name,” Sooyoung commented. (A/N: Taeyeon means “calm”.) Most of the time, Taeyeon lives up to her name but it’s a different story if it involved the maknaes.

Leeteuk and Donghae were busy competing to beat each other’s high scores in Temple Run when an impatient doorbell disturbed them both.
“Coming already, aish!” Leeteuk said, annoyed at the sudden visitor. He opened the door and almost took a double back step at the sight of the “angry duck” aka the “mother” duck Kim Taeyeon (Leeteuk is the “father” duck).
“Taengoo, what a surprise vis-“ Leeteuk tried to greet and hug his girlfriend but she pushed him and marched inside the room like a boss.
“Where is Kyuhyun?” she asked, an ominous aura radiating from her. Gone were his honorifics, a sign that she’s indeed mad. She was using her leader status as an excuse.
“What is the maknae’s mischief again?” Leeteuk asked himself as he let out a sigh and scratched his head. “Kyuhyun lives in the floor below us so if you want to know his location, you’ve got to ask Yesung, he’s the one in charge there,” he said turning away.
“PARK JUNGSU!!!” Taeyeon bellowed pulling his ears. “KYUHYUN HAS TAKEN AWAY SEOHYUN!!!”
“Aw! What’s new? That’s old news already. Kyuhyun has taken away Heebum, he’s taken Bada, Choco, Kkoming, Ddangkoma--- wait, who’s he taken again?”
“SEOHYUN!!! Seo Joohyun!!! Our maknae!!! And not some other pet, okay! Kyuhyun kidnapped her! That’s a matter that a leader must attend to!”

There were just the two of them who were currently in the dorm now. Shindong had a vacation with Nari. Heechul was on his daily 8-hour military duty. Ryeowook, on the other hand, was out doing groceries. The leader tried to call Kyuhyun but he’s not answering his phone. Mind you, Taeyeon was consistently sending him daggers while he was contacting the evil maknae.
The first one to get into the hot seat was Donghae who suddenly came out jumping like a child celebrating his victory over Teukie’s high score in Temple Run. He too had no idea where Kyuhyun was. Despite being nicknamed, Pinocchio, he could not actually lie and that’s probably why Kyuhyun never told him because he could not keep secrets for long.
Next, they went to the 11th floor to wake the members up. Yesung was already up doing his exercise by the bed. According to him, Kyuhyun just told him that he was going to Apgujeong for a while because he was craving for something to eat.
The next one was Kyuhyun’s roommate, Sungmin who was busy organizing his pink collection, one that can have a showdown with the pink otaku of SNSD, Tiffany. When he was asked about Kyuhyun’s whereabouts, he shrugged and replied innocently, “I don’t know. He rarely sleeps here nowadays. He’s been camping out on either Ryeowook or Eunhyuk’s room. I wonder why. I miss him already… and Sunny,” he said while hugging his pink bunny.
Leeteuk stared at him incredulously. “Duh, you chased him with your nunchucks, of course, he will be scared,” Leeteuk muttered under his breath. (A/N: Check last part of Falling In Love with The Boss' Niece)
Finally, the last one was Eunhyuk whom they needed to “wax” his legs just to wake him up. Since he was the last member present, poor Hyukie received the peak of the leaders’ (primarily Taeyeon’s) wrath. First, he got the hair of his legs involuntarily waxed off in an improvised way of using a packaging tape. Last but not the least, because he was known to be the maknae’s partner in crime, TaeTeuk found it hard to believe that he knew nothing. When Eunhyuk was finally close to tears, that’s when Donghae stepped in and took his side.
“Hyung,” he said, “let’s wait for Ryeowook, we all know that he is Kyu’s best friend among us here. He must know something.”
Speaking of Ryeowook, he just arrived carrying a bunch of groceries for them. Dongahe immediately grabbed some sweets for Eunhyuk to eat.
“The maknaes were missing?” Ryewook asked them.
“Yes, do you know their whereabouts?”
“Kyu has been talking about a certain ski resort for a week now and how he wanted to bring Seohyun there,” Ryeowook replied.
“And where is this resort?!” Taeyeon thundered all of the sudden.

Minutes later, Leeteuk found himself being dragged by Taeyeon outside.
“But I haven’t prepared my things yet and I haven’t even taken a bath.” Leeteuk protested.
“Okay, you take a bath first,” Taeyeon said, pushing him back inside and to the bathroom.
“Yah, ByunTaeng! Are you planning to join me inside?” Leeteuk teased her. Taeyeon halted and stepped backward. “Yah! You don’t even have a butt for me to “byuntae” over.” She retorted which ensued hilarious laughs in the dorm.

“Can I take my blindfold now, oppa?” Seohyun asked. Throughout the trip, she had been blindfolded by Kyuhyun. Good thing, she brought her nature sounds and meditating music to accompany her and keep her relaxed.
“Just a little bit, Seobaby.” She felt the car stop. Kyuhyun opened the door for her. He guided her out of the car and slowly took her blindfold off. She opened her eyes and was delighted to see that Kyuhyun brought her to a ski resort.
“This is my Valentine’s gift to you, do you like it?” Kyuhyun asked.
Seohyun really wanted to go to a ski resort but due to the group’s busy schedules, she could not. They were just lucky to have these rest days squeezed in it.
“Ne,” Seohyun nodded. She still could not believe to what Kyuhyun had prepared for her. She smiled and her eyes were sparkling with glee.
