My first election is bittersweet to say the least. I'm thrilled Obama was elected, but it looks like prop 8 will be passing. In addition, the bans on gay marriage in Arizona and Florida have passed, and Arkansas banned gays and lesbians from adopting.

Marriage I can almost understand (but not really because it doesn't effect anyone except for those getting married)...but what? Adoption? You're not allowed to give a child a home if you're not orientated to love the opposite sex? That's the most fucktarded thing I've ever heard of in my life. You can't better society if you're not a certain way. Sometimes Americans are so ignorant. Where is the tolerance and the love?
