He can hear the footsteps long before Mihael starts attacking the door, the sensation jarring him from his quiet stupor, but he hardly moves from his spot against it, looking toward the ceiling with a quiet sigh.
"And why would I do that, Mihael?"
His voice is just loud enough to be heard through the thick wood, and just soft enough to not be sarcastic or angry.
He's still calm, almost hysterically so. He's not quite sure of what he's doing anymore, and it all seems insane, but he refuses to panic, to get uptight, because he just... can't right now.
"Opposed to me opening it so that you can 'drag me out and kick my ass'?"
