one. once, junno wondered what it would be like to sing a duet with jin. he watched jin and kame sing together, their backs against each other, their clothes mirroring the other's and their voices blending into one. the thought lingered in junno's mind. but after a few months, it went away. it was only years after, that he'd remembered he'd once wished for this; jin beside him, his shoulder barely touching junno's and his voice going out of his way to harmonize with his. in that short span of time, junno felt what it was like to sing a duet with jin. he thrilled at hearing his voice that way--jin's voice has that ethereal effect junno's will never have--and though it was stupid to think so, it crossed his mind that maybe they were to sing together more often.
but then junno heard jin's voice blending--so perfectly--with kame's and he dropped the thought entirely. he never allowed it to cross his mind again.
two. junno's almost fallen for jin twice now. it was really easy to learn to love jin because he had that charisma, that inexplicable charm that draws people to him. and jin also had that smile. the first time junno saw it properly was at a dance rehearsal, and jin kept missing his cue. junno thought that even though jin was probably frustrated with himself now, and he could still manage to give smiles that were too bright; it was a little bit amazing.
junno almost fell for jin when he heard him speak so passionately about his want to debut. he spoke of his dreams for kat-tun and junno's never seen jin want something so fiercely before and he was moved by jin's dedication.
the second time was during jin's hiatus. junno came home from a normal, tiring day at work. he was about to go straight to bed when he heard his cellphone ring. he mumbled a tired hello at the receiver and when he heard jin's "taguchi"--he hasn't heard that voice in over two weeks and he realized he missed it--he struggled to stay awake.
"a-akanishi-kun," junno said a bit groggily. "what's up?"
"oh nothing really," jin said from the other end. "i just called to ask you how you're doing."
"i'm doing fine." junno began awkwardly. he's never shared too intimate conversations with jin before. "and you, akanishi-kun?"
"i miss kat-tun" was what jin suddenly said; and like jin's words, junno fell for jin without warning.
three. junno has more than enough reasons to fall out of love for jin. as easy as it was to love jin, in the same way, he was easy to hate him too. junno has three top ones, the ones that always made themselves prominent.
the first one was that jin was selfish. he was too busy caring for himself to care about the next person. jin was the type who wanted his way to be followed, and junno has felt himself get annoyed at that more often than not.
the second one was that jin was too unpredictable. when kat-tun was just starting out, junno pinned jin to be the happy, naive and not so smart boy; but months later he realized that jin had too many layers for junno to comprehend. one moment, he was sweet and the next he was bitter. it was all too much for junno to take.
the third one and the one that irked junno the most, was that jin can see exactly through him. it was surprising and scary. junno put on a mask for a reason, and then jin--jin, whom junno can barely comprehend--managed to see past that cover junno's put up. jin does it easily, and junno has no idea how. he's never got the courage to confront jin about it, he doesn't know what to say anyway.
considering all these, junno should be out of love with jin right now. he's got more than enough reason to be. and maybe this is him being stupid and far too hopeful, but junno decided that reasons or not, he's staying in love with jin.
